Simple Usage Method of a Leveling Machine

Release time:

The leveling machine, also known as the correction machine or leveling machine, is placed between the material rack (or cutting and welding machine) and the feeder, used for leveling and feeding rolled materials. It is a commonly used equipment in sheet metal processing. The design of the leveling machine mainly depends on the thickness, material, and requirements of the strip being leveled. The thicker the material, the better the structural rigidity required; fewer rollers, larger roller diameter, and greater power are needed (with a fixed width), and vice versa.

Structure and Working Principle

The leveling machine is equipped with an upper pressing mold and a lower pressing mold, where the upper pressing mold is fixed to the push rod of the hydraulic cylinder, and the hydraulic cylinder body is fixed to the support frame. Each of the upper and lower pressing molds has a separate cooling water circuit, with the outlet and inlet of the cooling water circuit located at the top of the upper or lower pressing mold. The radius or center distance ratio of at least the first five rollers starting from the entrance of the leveling machine is the same as that of traditional leveling machines, and the radius or center distance ratio of at least the last five rollers starting from the entrance of the leveling machine is similar to that of the curling elimination machine. Advantageously, the center distance between the middle rollers of the leveling machine increases. This can avoid impurities from corroding the tools or tool blanks while quickly quenching and cooling, thus ensuring the quality of the surface and hardness metallographic structure of the tools or tool blanks, and avoiding contamination of the cooling oil.

I. Use of Traditional Leveling Machine

1. Preparation: The leveling machine needs to be placed on a flat workbench, and the workbench should be checked for flatness before use.

2. Adjustment: Adjust the depth of the leveling machine according to the thickness and quality of the material to ensure leveling quality.

3. Start Using: Place the material on the leveling machine and use the handle to level it, ensuring that the difference in the upper and lower surfaces of the material before and after leveling does not exceed 0.2mm.

4. Leveling Completion: After leveling is completed, promptly remove the handle to avoid affecting the surface quality of the material.

5. Cleaning: Clean the leveling machine and keep the surface of the workbench flat to ensure accuracy for the next use.

II. Use of CNC Leveling Machine

1. Preparation: The CNC leveling machine needs to be placed on a flat workbench, and the workbench should be checked for flatness before use.

2. Program Operation: Use the CNC operating system to write the leveling program and adjust the depth according to the thickness and quality of the material.

3. Start Using: Place the material on the leveling machine, press the operation key, and the system will automatically level it, ensuring that the difference in the upper and lower surfaces of the material before and after leveling does not exceed 0.2mm.

4. Leveling Completion: After leveling is completed, promptly remove the material to avoid affecting the surface quality of the material.

5. Cleaning: Clean the leveling machine and keep the surface of the workbench flat to ensure accuracy for the next use.

The leveling machine is a tool that helps users make the upper and lower surfaces of materials completely flat, which is very convenient. However, it is essential to follow the correct operating methods to ensure leveling quality. The usage methods of the leveling machine can be divided into traditional leveling machines and CNC leveling machines. Traditional leveling machines require manual operation, while CNC leveling machines require control by an operating system. Whether it is a traditional leveling machine or a CNC leveling machine, correct usage is essential. Preparation work, program adjustment, starting use, leveling completion, and cleaning must all be done to ensure leveling quality and improve work efficiency.
