Analysis of the Advantages and Disadvantages of Producing Wear-Resistant Parts with High Manganese Steel

The production of wear-resistant parts using high manganese steel has undergone more than a century of research and development. However, both domestically and internationally, the production of high-impact wear-resistant parts still adheres to the standard composition of high manganese steel proposed in the Hadfield patent. To enhance its wear resistance, some countries have added certain solid solution strengthening and carbide strengthening elements to this standard composition, such as Cr, Mo, V, Ti, etc.
